picture instructions

Option 1: Document Properties

1. Open menu >
Click “Document Properties…”

2. Open the “View on Open” tab >
Select “Document Title” (from the “Show” dropdown in the “Window Options” area) >
click "OK"

Option 2: Preflight tool

1. Search for the tool “Preflight” in the search bar and open it

2. Select “PDF Standards” (in the upper library dropdown) >
Activate “Select individual corrections” (wrench symbol) >
Select “Show “Document Title” in Document Window” >
Click “Correct”

As soon as you save the document and check it again with the PDF Accessibility Checker, the error message “DisplayDocTitle” entry is not set disappeared.

When saving, make sure to give the document a new name (e.g. Document Title_Rev2) and not oversave the previous version of the document. This way, you can go back to the previous version of the document if something goes wrong.

Tips for Error Prevention

Create your document using a standard word processing program such as Microsoft Word, as you can set a document title in such programs (in Word, for example, under File > Information > Properties). This will then be correctly entered into the PDF during PDF export and displayed in the PDF software window. This way, you do not have to correct the error afterwards.
